Falling behind on my 30 days, but hey, here's a layout!
This is a scrapbooking-related blog where I share my ideas, demonstrate techniques, and share my experience with various products through hints and tips. I have been scrapbooking for about six years, but have a life-long obsession with office supplies. I enjoy playing with lots of different media. I am a hybrid scrapper and enjoy making mini-albums and altered objects as well as traditional layouts.

Day 7 - something new
I've been searching for a pair or turquoise posts since I saw Bridesmaids a couple months ago. Finally, success!

Day 6 - childhood memory
I was always scared to death if this place, but I still went on the ride. I don't know why, since I kept my eyes closed most of the time!

Studio Calico Weekly Challenge
My take on this week's challenge at Studio Calico. (Using an enlargement as the page base). Patterned Paper by Studio Calico (Countryside and Run-of-the-mill), tag by Crafty Secrets (Heartwarming vintage collection - travel), and buttons are MME (Stella Rose). Enjoy!

Gray, gray, go away.
I'm so tired of the snow and ice! I treated myself to these cute red boots and they just kind of made me feel happier. (It's the little things).
I wanted to contrast the gray (yucky weather) with the red (cute boots), so I tried to stick with those two colors. I used a leftover valentine doily (cut apart into a frame and two inner circles) and some pink paislee letters that seemed made for this layout. I wanted to do something subtle with black tulle, so I die cut it with my sizzix, spray glued it to the page, and hand stitched with rainbow thread around part of the edges. I also added some ribbon trim from pink paislee to add some more gray and some texture.

I also used some patterned paper from October Afternoon and background paper from Echo Park. To finish off, I added some miscellaneous brads and a large acrylic snowflake. Kaiser Craft pearls, and letter stamps from Stamps of Life.
